Submission Templates
The Journal of Child and Youth Psychology (JCYP) provides the following templates to support a consistent and efficient manuscript submission and revision process.
At initial submission, the Cover File and the Anonymized Main Manuscript must be uploaded as separate files. To preserve double-blind peer review, author-identifying information must not appear in the anonymized manuscript.
Cover File + Anonymized Manuscript
Microsoft Word (.docx)
Double-Blind
Response Letter Required
1. Cover File
Required at initial submission.
The Cover File contains author identities, affiliations, contact information, and the ethical and editorial declarations associated with the manuscript. This file is not shared with reviewers.
The Cover File should include:
- Full Turkish and English manuscript titles,
- Full names of all authors,
- Academic titles,
- Institutional and departmental affiliations,
- ORCID identifiers,
- Corresponding author and contact e-mail address,
- Author contribution statement,
- Conflict of interest declaration,
- Funding/support statement,
- Data availability statement,
- Ethics committee/research ethics statement,
- Participant consent statement where applicable,
- Acknowledgements, if any,
- Information indicating whether the manuscript is derived from a thesis, project, or conference presentation, where applicable.
2. Anonymized Main Manuscript Template
Required at initial submission and during revision.
The anonymized manuscript is the principal file sent for peer review. It must contain no information that could reveal the identities of the authors.
The following information should be removed:
- Author names,
- Institutional affiliations,
- ORCID identifiers,
- E-mail addresses,
- Acknowledgements,
- Statements that directly identify an author or institution.
The manuscript should include Turkish and English titles, abstracts, keywords, and the main sections appropriate to the type of study.
3. Cover Letter
Optional.
The Cover Letter may be used to provide the editor with a brief introduction to the manuscript. Authors may describe the original contribution of the study, its relevance to the journal's aims and scope, and any other information they wish to bring to the editor's attention.
The Cover Letter is not part of the peer-review file and is not shared with reviewers.
4. Response to Reviewers
Required when revision is requested.
Authors should respond separately and systematically to each comment made by reviewers and editors.
The response document should:
- Clearly reproduce or identify each reviewer/editor comment,
- Provide the author's response immediately below each comment,
- Explain the changes made,
- Identify where the change appears in the revised manuscript,
- Provide a scholarly justification when a recommendation has not been followed.
To preserve double-blind peer review, response files shared with reviewers must not contain information that reveals the authors' identities.
5. Supporting Documents
Depending on the nature of the research, authors may also be required to upload or provide:
- Ethics committee approval documents,
- Research permissions,
- Permissions for scales or research materials,
- Data files,
- Supplementary materials,
- Other supporting documentation.
Authors are encouraged to review the Author Guidelines before submission and ensure that they are using the most recent versions of all journal templates.
